Casinos Not on GamStop: What Scottish Players Are Signing Up To (August 2026)

The offshore casinos that accept UK players after a GamStop self-exclusion — who licenses them, what the advertised offers actually require, and the protections you give up by using one.

Casinos not on GamStop
What this page is. A reference list, not a recommendation. Every operator below is licensed outside Great Britain and is therefore not covered by the Gambling Commission, by GamStop, or by the dispute-resolution service you would get on a UKGC-licensed site. Figures come from each operator's own published offer terms and are dated; they change without notice.

Why these sites exist at all

GamStop is the national self-exclusion scheme for Great Britain. Register with it and every operator holding a Gambling Commission licence must refuse you — for six months, one year or five years, whichever you chose. It works, within its boundary. The boundary is the licence: GamStop can only bind operators the Commission licenses.

Operators licensed in Curaçao, Anjouan or Costa Rica sit outside that boundary. They can lawfully accept a customer who is excluded in Britain, because the scheme that excludes them has no purchase on a licence issued elsewhere. That is the entire mechanism, and it is worth stating plainly because the marketing around these sites tends to describe it as a feature rather than as a gap.

The operators accepting UK players

The table below lists 15 offshore operators currently accepting registrations from Great Britain, with the welcome offer each advertises and the wagering requirement attached to it. Read the wagering column before the bonus column: a headline figure means little until you know what it costs to release.

What the advertised offers actually require

A headline percentage is the least useful number on the page. What determines whether a bonus is worth anything is the wagering multiple, what it applies to, and the minimum deposit that unlocks it. Three of the 15 operators above attach a 40x or higher requirement (1Red, Kaasino, Winstler); at the highest of them, 45x, a £100 bonus means staking £4,500 before a withdrawal is permitted.

Only one operator advertises a sterling figure above £5,000 — Winstler — and it is spread across five deposits rather than available on the first. Note also that Lucki casino quotes its headline in euros rather than sterling, so the advertised maximum is not the figure a UK player deposits against.

Minimum deposits in this group run from £10 to £50. That range matters more than it looks: a £50 minimum on a site with a 45x requirement is a materially different product from a £10 minimum at 35x (Mad Casino), even where the advertised percentage looks similar.

Where the licence sits — and what that costs you

On a UKGC-licensed site you have a route of appeal. If an operator refuses a withdrawal you can escalate to an ADR body approved by the Commission, and ultimately to the Commission itself, which can and does fine licensees. None of that applies to the operators above. Your recourse is the operator's own complaints process and whatever the licensing authority in Curaçao or Anjouan chooses to do, which in practice is very little.

You also lose the deposit-limit tooling, the reality-check prompts and the affordability interventions that UK licensees are now required to run. Some offshore operators offer equivalents voluntarily. They are not obliged to, and they are not audited on it.

Self-exclusion does not travel

This is the point most worth understanding before registering anywhere on this page. If you signed up to GamStop because you needed to stop, an offshore account reopens exactly the access you closed. The Dundee harm-prevention pilot we reported on in June was set up partly because council services were seeing people who had excluded themselves and then found their way back through sites like these.

If that describes you, the useful thing on this page is the helpline number at the bottom, not the table in the middle.

Deposit limits, checks and withdrawals

Identity verification on offshore sites is usually lighter at signup and heavier at withdrawal — the reverse of the UK pattern. Expect to be asked for documents at the point you first try to take money out, and expect the first withdrawal to take longer than later ones. Where an operator advertises "no wagering" on free spins, as one above does, that applies to the spins only and not to the deposit match.

How we compiled this list

Operator names, welcome-offer wording, wagering multiples and minimum deposits are taken from each operator's own published terms as at 21 August 2026, held in our offers database and re-checked whenever this page is updated. Where a field is unavailable we print a dash rather than an estimate. Links marked "Visit site" are commercial.

Frequently asked questions

Is it legal for me to use one of these sites from Scotland? Using an offshore casino is not a criminal offence for the player. The operator is simply not licensed here, which is a matter of your protection rather than your liability.

Can I get back on GamStop after using one? Yes. GamStop registration is unaffected by anything you do on an unlicensed site, and it continues to bind every UKGC licensee.

Will these sites accept a UK debit card? Some do; many now route through crypto or e-wallets instead after UK card issuers began declining gambling transactions to unlicensed merchants. Card availability changes often.

If gambling is causing you harm. GamCare runs the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, free and open around the clock. In Scotland, RCA Trust and GamCare provide face-to-face counselling. GamStop blocks you from every operator licensed in Great Britain — the sites on this page are not among them, which is the whole point of the article above. 18+ only. Nothing here is advice to gamble.
